Robert-Houdin

Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin was a French magician in the mid-1800s considered the father of modern conjuring. He pioneered many techniques still used today, like electrical illusions, and combined magic with science and psychology. The magician Houdini later adopted his name as homage.
