The Great Lafayette

Sigmund Neuberger, better known as The Great Lafayette, was a German illusionist in the late 1800s and early 1900s who specialized in elaborate mechanical tricks powered by steam. His stage persona was flamboyant. He perished in a theater fire along with his beloved dog.
